this is a list of questions that people often email me about. i don't mind answering email, but repeating things over and over makes me feel redundant. so before asking me something, please see if your answer is here. if your question isn't here or you need more info, then by all means, email me and maybe i can help out.

› Who are you and why do you keep this website?
I'm a 20-something portuguese lass. My online nickname is klept, although I have a couple of other aliases (it's pretty random but I'm pretty much the same person! ;). I keep this site because I love japanese rock and I want to share it with as many people as possible and also because this site makes a good web project where I can experiment different ideas.
This isn't a site about me, so please don't ask any other personal questions.
Please check the resources list, look for online shopping. I have listed several online shops and tried to put a little description for each.

You can use anything that doesn't belong to me, such as band photos, original lyrics, etc., because I don't own them either, I'm just sharing them because they may be of interest. Mentioning where you got the materials would be nice though.
Please don't use original content on your site though. Quite a lot of work is put into it, please respect that. Above all, don't just copy-paste text and/or change a couple of words here and there. Write your own content. It's good karma all around.
My webhost provides me with unlimited bandwidth so this isn't a problem per se. But excessive hotlinking can considerably slow down the site. Hotlinking of images is OK in moderation. Please don't hotlink too many images or use them on forum signatures or avatars. If you have your own site, save the image and upload it to your server space instead. Larger media files (wallpapers, sound samples, etc.) may not be hotlinked to.
I don't do trading anymore, if you want just one song or two I might be able to hook you up. But there are people out there who do trading on a regular basis. See the resources list for some links.
if you check the artist index, the resources list and the guide recommendations, you will see small letters between parenthesis after each link. This indicates the primary language of the site.
I tested the site on different browsers and systems and it seemed OK, regardless of small browser differences. Any browser with support for cascading style sheets should render the site correctly. Javascript is necessary to browse the site. If you have any problems browsing the site please let me know.
For media types, MP3 is used for full track samples, while Windows Media is used for small samples and videos. Windows Media Player is available for Windows and Mac.
Sorry, no-can-do. server space limitations. I hope the samples at least give you an idea of how the artists sound. If you like what you hear, buy the cd's or find full mp3's or whatever suits you best.
This is a personal site and therefore I usually cover only artists that I like. The recommendations are personal preferences. So check the artist index for links to different artist sites. Or, alternatively, you can send me articles or reviews about your fave artists and I'll put them up.
